Speaker Spotlight # 20

We have Great speakers coming this year to our conference. Here is a spotlight on one of them.

Andrew Curioso is the author of the book “Expert PHP and MySQL” (Wrox, 2010) and “Shortcut: Ajax with PHP 5″ (O’Reilly, 2007). He studied Computer Science in Boston and is currently VP of Engineering at a startup out of New Hampshire where he manages a team of software engineers and a diverse infrastructure on Amazon Web Services that includes PHP. He is also the founder of the 250+ developer strong New Hampshire PHP organization. Andrew has spoken at every Northeast PHP conference since the original.

Andrew will be speaking on:  PHP for Micro-Services

Micro-services have sprung up recently as a way to describe a system where components are individually deployable and horizontally scalable. In this talk we will explore using PHP for micro-services. Including what is a micro-service? How do you write one in PHP? Any why is it a useful architectural paradigm? There is no need to be a pro software architect to follow the talk. We will build an example micro-service during the talk.
